We are a small village cricket club in Merseyside with big ambitions. We are playing at the highest level of amateur cricket here in the North West in the famous Liverpool Comp ECB Premier Division. The Club had an excellent 2017 season in finishing 3rd. This is all down to the players abilities on the field and the high standards of our Coaching Staff who are striving the club forward.
Rainhill CC cricket is open to all. Anyone can play cricket. The Club has a vibrant Junior section with Girls & Boys in the Under 9s and our 3rds has a girl player. We also require volunteers who are willing to give their time at weekends and in the week to help run the club. We need scorers and assistants to the ground staff as the playing field needs to be maintained throughout the winter.
The Club has to pass a Club Accreditation which sets out a certain criteria for the Club to fulfill. This was accredited to us in 2006.
The Club still needs to add a Girls/womens team and a disability team(s). If you qualify for the above given our President or Chairman or Club Captain Mike Rotheram (07734 678778) a call/Text.
Officers of the Club are elected at our Annual General Meetings which are governed by our Club Constitution which we have to follow as a democracy. Members of the Club and Committee Members have the right to vote. Members can be voted onto our General Committee or Sub-Committees. Please see our Club Constitution on the sub menu in 'About Us'.
In case of inury to a player whilst in the process of playing cricket, Whiston Hospital is the closest for A & E which is 2 miles along the A57 towards Prescot. Please below for map.
